Do you look after a person living with HD in the Sydney metropolitan area; and northern, eastern and western suburbs?
Did you know you can access free services and supports through the Carer Gateway?
Come and learn about the Carer Gateway – Federal Government Funding and Support for Carers
Carer Gateway is an Australian Government funding initiative that provides support services to carers in your area and across Australia.
Services are free for anyone who provides care and support to a family member or friend who is living with a disability, mental illness, alcohol or drug dependency, a chronic condition, or who is frail due to age.
Services and supports include:
- carer support planning,
- counselling,
- peer support,
- carer coaching,
- planned and emergency respite, and
- financial support via carer directed support packages.
This will be a short practical presentation with time afterward for questions and discussion.
Register here to receive your access to this presentation.
Who are the Carer Gateway service providers?
Each region in Australia has a Carer Gateway service provider. This means that the person you talk to knows what support and services are available in the area. The Benevolent Society is your region’s service provider, more detail is available in the The Benevolent Society Carer Gateway Brochure.
