Lewis Kaplan

Lewis has been the (part-time) CEO of Huntington’s NSW ACT since February 2019. He leads the delivery of the Association’s strategy and operations, managing a dedicated team of staff and volunteers.

Lewis is committed to improving social equity through better health, disability and aged care policy and services, and to leading the integration of health, disability, aged and community services. He has successfully filled a variety of executive roles which have involved advocating for, developing and running a number of innovative programs in public and primary health and in community and dementia services. His abilities in joining up the dots from ideas to implementation, coupled with well-regarded communication, media and networking skills have helped bring about many new policies and programs across the breadth of his career.

Lewis holds a Master of Health Science degree from Johns Hopkins University School of Public Health, where he was a Fulbright Scholar, and a BA (1st Class Hons.) in Social Anthropology.

He is married with 3 children and 4 grandchildren.
